Anne Mumford, winner of Tennis Leicestershire’s Lifetime Achievement Award 2021 in front of the Davis Cup. The club was one of two Leicestershire Clubs visited by the Davis Cup Tour.
Recognition for Rothley Ivanhoe Tennis Club
In March 2021, the club was announced as the 2020 Club of the Year by Tennis Leicestershire. The club had already gained this accolade in 2016. The club also was awarded Competition of the Year for the Rothley Lockdown Tournament, ensuring opportunities for tennis were provided as tennis clubs could open with play restricted based on national and local constraints – this included the famous “Bubble Doubles”! The club gained further recognition at regional level in gaining a Highly Commended award.
Tom Lewis has previously been awarded Coach of the Year and Pete Randall (2017) and Anne Mumford (2021) have been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by Tennis Leicestershire.
